The short version
Coolemur does not currently set non-essential cookies or use browser storage for analytics, advertising, behavioural tracking, or personalisation. That is why the site does not show a cookie consent banner.
If analytics, embedded media, advertising, or other optional tracking is added later, this notice and the site's consent controls will be updated before those tools are used where consent is required.
Site storage
The application does not currently write cookies, local storage, or session storage to remember visitors or follow their activity between pages. There are no user accounts, saved preferences, shopping features, or comment sessions.
Hosting and security
The site runs on a privately managed Mintnook VPS. Its web server processes technical request data needed to deliver, troubleshoot, and secure the service. The hosting layer may use short-lived, strictly necessary security mechanisms when required to protect or operate the site; these are not used by Coolemur for advertising or behavioural profiling.
External services
The site loads font files from Google Fonts. This creates a direct request from your browser to Google and can include technical details such as your IP address and browser information. It is not used by Coolemur to track you across the journal. See Google Fonts privacy information.
Clicking a link to GitHub or another third-party site leaves Coolemur. That service may use its own cookies under its own policy, but it cannot do so through Coolemur merely because the link is displayed here.
Your controls
Most browsers let you inspect, block, or delete cookies and other site data. Blocking strictly necessary storage can sometimes affect how a site works. Because Coolemur does not currently set optional cookies, there is no site-level preference to manage.
